Tips for Success

Five small habits, one big difference.

Play Smart,
Play Fun!

The only two rules that never change 🏓

What Should a Beginner Focus On?

You don't need a harder swing — you need five small habits. They sound simple because they are, and they're exactly what coaches tell every new player.

Stay low and ready between shots. Hit soft shots (dinks) more than hard ones. Aim for control first and power later. Talk to your partner — “mine!” and “yours!” save more points than any paddle. And have fun: people who enjoy the game keep playing, and people who keep playing get good.

The Five Habits

  • ✓Stay low and ready
  • ✓Use soft shots (dinks)
  • ✓Control the ball — placement before power
  • ✓Communicate with your partner
  • ✓Have fun!

Quick Facts

  • ✓First habit: Stay low, paddle up, ready
